January 1st, 1976. That’s when the Seismology Research Centre started, making 2026 our 50th anniversary year. We have a limited number of these 70’s style t-shirts left, but contact us if we don’t have your size and we’ll consider your request when we do another screen print run later this year.
Our MegaQuake t-shirt is arguably our best design ever, and lists the largest earthquakes on record between 1906 and 2012. It’s fortunate that we specified those dates, as there was a magnitude 8.8 at Kamchatka in 2025 after the shirt was printed! That’s called TTS – t-shirt triggered seismicity.
