This earthquake was recorded approximately 11 kilometres east-southeast of Hallett, and approximately 168 kilometres north-northeast of Adelaide, SA. This event was reported felt by some residents in the surrounding rural areas nearby Hallett.

2023 December 16 @ 12:32pm AEDT, E of Barmedman NSW Magnitude 2.6
This earthquake was recorded approximately 12 kilometres east of the small town of Barmedman in central NSW; and approximately 196 kilometres northwest of Canberra, ACT.

2023 December 11 @ 4:23am AEDT, Berridale NSW Magnitude 3.2
This earthquake was recorded near the small town of Berridale, approximately 122 kilometres south-southwest of Canberra, ACT. This event woke up and was reported felt by a number of residents in Berridale and surrounding rural areas. Seven aftershocks have been recorded, including a magnitude 1.8 seven minutes after this event; and a magnitude 1.4 approximately 90 minutes later. The largest aftershock was a magnitude 2.1 earthquake recorded on December 13 which was also felt by some local residents.

This earthquake was recorded approximately 29 kilometres southeast of the small town of Monto, and approximately 322 kilometres northwest of Brisbane, QLD.

2023 December 2 @ 8:54pm ACDT, SE of Jamestown SA Magnitude 2.5
This earthquake was recorded approximately 15 kilometres southeast of Jamestown, and approximately 180 kilometres north of Adelaide, SA. This event was reported felt by a number of residents in Jamestown and surrounding rural areas.

2023 November 22 @ 5:42pm ACDT, NW of Cowell SA Magnitude 2.5
This earthquake was recorded approximately 21 kilometres northwest of the small town of Cowell, and approximately 228 kilometres northwest of Adelaide, SA. This event was reported felt by a handful of rural residents in the area.

2023 November 22 @ 4:38am AEDT, SW of Uralla NSW Magnitude 2.5
This earthquake was recorded approximately 16 kilometres southwest of the small town of Uralla, and approximately 254 kilometres north of Newcastle, NSW. This event also woke up and was reported felt by a handful of residents in the local area.

2023 November 14 @ 4:00am ACDT, SW of Georgetown SA Magnitude 2.5
This earthquake was recorded approximately 98 kilometres southwest of the small locality of Georgetown, and approximately 170 kilometres north of Adelaide, SA. This event woke up and was recorded as felt by a handful of residents in the local area.

2023 November 6 @ 6:45am AEDT, NW of Rushworth VIC Magnitude 2.8
This earthquake was recorded approximately 10 kilometres northwest of the small town of Ruushworth in central Victoria, and approximately 44 kilometres west-southwest of the regional centre of Shepparton. This earthquake was felt by some local residents in Rushworth and surrounding rual areas. A magnitude 1.4 aftershock was recorded in a similar location approximately one hour after this event.

2023 November 5 @ 6:51pm AEDT, Fosterville Gold Mine VIC Magnitude 2.8
This earthquake was recorded near the Fosterville Gold Mine, approximately 21 kilometres east-northeast of Bendigo; and 128 kilometres north-northwest of Melbourne, VIC. This event was confirmed by mine staff to be a mine induced seismic event and was felt by some residents in the local area nearby to the mine.

2023 October 30 @ 6:26am ACDT, SW of Riverton SA Magnitude 2.7
This earthquake was recorded approximately 9 kilometres southwest of the small town of Riverton, and approximately 80 kilometres north of Adelaide, SA. This event was felt by residents in Riverton, Saddleworth and surrounding rural areas. A magnitude 1.8 aftershock was recorded approximately one hour after this event.

2023 October 24 @ 11:38pm AEDT, WSW of Goodooga NSW Magnitude 4.0
This earthquake was recorded near the central NSW-QLD border approximately 26 kilometres west-southwest of the outback town of Goodooga; and approximately 601 kilometres west-southwest of Brisbane, QLD.  This earthquake was felt in the outback towns of Goodooga and Lightning Ridge, as well as other rural residents.

2023 October 22 @ 2:11am AEDT, W of Apollo Bay VIC Magnitude 5.0
This notable earthquake was recorded in the Cape Otway region of Victoria approximately 13 kilometres west of the small town of Apollo Bay; and approximately 163 kilometres southwest of Melbourne, VIC.  This earthquake woke up and was strongly felt by residents in the Cape Otway region, and was felt by residents as far away as Bendigo and metropolitan Melbourne. This is the largest earthquake recorded in Victoria since the September 22nd 2021 Woods Point earthquake; a magnitude 3.4 earthquake at 5:44am and a magnitude 3.7 earthquake at 1:17pm on October 23rd have been the largest of over 50 aftershocks that have been recorded thus far in relation to this event.

2023 October 12 @ 1:59pm AEDT, NW of Yanac VIC Magnitude 3.2
This earthquake was recorded approximately 44 kilometres northwest of the township of Yanac, and approximately 251 kilometres east-southeast of Adelaide, SA; on the edge of the Big Desert Wilderness Area near the SA-VIC border. One magnitude 1.6 aftershock was recorded 17 minutes after this event.

2023 October 7 @ 12:03pm AEDT, NNE of Bruthen VIC Magnitude 2.9
This earthquake was recorded north-northeast of the small town of Bruthen, and approximately 30 kilometres northeast of Bairnsdale in the eastern Gippsland region of Victoria. This earthquake was felt by many residents in Bruthen, Bairnsdale and surrounding rural areas; two small aftershocks were recorded in the minutes following this event.

2023 September 27 @ 6:58pm AEST, Zeehan TAS Magnitude 2.3
This earthquake was the largest in a swarm of earthquakes that have been located near the town of Zeehan, approximately 197 kilometres northwest of Hobart, TAS. Over 60 earthquakes have now been recorded in the area since September 24th, seven of which have been magnitude 2.0 or above.

2023 September 25 @ 4:29am AEST, W of Craigieburn VIC Magnitude 2.0
This earthquake was recorded in a similar location to the May 28th magnitude 4.0 earthquake, approximately 27 kilometres north-northwest of Melbourne, VIC; and is one of 56 earthquakes that have now been recorded in the vicinity since that date. This earthquake woke up and was reported felt by a number of residents close to the epicentre.

This earthquake was recorded near Menangle on the fringes of metropolitan Sydney, aproximately 54 kilometres southwest of the Sydney city centre. This earthquake was felt by many residents in the nearby vicinity including some residents in the outer Sydney suburbs.

This earthquake was recorded approximately 14 kilometres north of the small town of Hallett; and approximately 184 kilometres north of Adelaide, SA This earthquake was felt by some residents on Hallett and surrounding rural areas.

2023 August 29 @ 1:41pm AEST, WSW of Cobar NSW Magnitude 3.0
This earthquake was recorded in outback central NSW approximately 97 kilometres west-northwest of Cobar, NSW; and approximately 597 kilometres northwest of Canberra, ACT.

2023 August 25 @ 2:48am AEST, WSW of Bacchus Marsh VIC Magnitude 2.4
This earthquake was recorded approximately 13 kilometres west-southwest of the semi-rural town of Bacchus Marsh; and approximately 60 kilometres west of Melbourne, VIC. This earthquake was felt by a number of residents in Bacchus Marsh and surrounding areas.

2023 August 24 @ 7:02pm AEST, Offshore E of Narooma NSW Magnitude 3.1
This earthquake was the largest of 5 events all recorded approximately 187 kilometers offshore of Narooma; and approximately 284 kilometres south-southeast of Sydney, NSW. The 4 events recorded within 2.5 hours after the earthquake ranged between magnitudes 2.0-2.4.

2023 August 22 @ 2:54pm AEST, NE of Woods Point VIC Magnitude 3.0
This earthquake occurred approximately 13 kilometres northeast of Woods Point, approximately 129 kilometres east-northeast of Melbourne, VIC. This event is another aftershock of the magnitude 5.8 earthquake on September 22 2021, this event was felt by some local residents.

2023 August 14 @ 12:33am AEST, Maroota NSW Magnitude 2.6
This earthquake was was the largest of a number of events that have been recorded near the locality of Maroota/Wisemans Ferry, approximately 55 kilometres north-northwest of Sydney, NSW. This event was reported felt by some residents in the local area. Overall 19 events have been recorded in this vicinity since the beginning of August.

2023 August 9 @ 6:06am AEST, SW of Orange NSW Magnitude 2.8
This event was located approximately 22 kilometres southwest of Orange; and approximately 210 kilometres west of Sydney, NSW. This event has been reported felt by some residents in the local area.

2023 August 6 @ 5:34am AWST, NW of Ongerup WA Magnitude 5.3
This large earthquake was recorded approximately 23 kilometres northwest of Ongerup in southern WA; and approximately 309 kilometres southeast of Perth, WA. This earthquake was felt widely across southern WA including many residents in metropolitan Perth who were awakend by the earthquake,a nd as far away as main regional towns in Esperance and Kalgoorlie. It also caused plaster cracking and minor damage closer to the epicentre in nearby towns of Ongerup, Gnowangerup and other nearby rural areas. This was the largest earthquake recorded in the region since the magnitude 5.4 earthquake near Lake Muir in November 2018.

This earthquake occurred approximately 5 kilometres southwest of the small town of Loch; and approximately 89 kilometres southeast of Melbourne, VIC.

2023 July 7 @ 3:44am AEST, SE of Montague Island NSW Magnitude 2.8
This earthquake was recorded approximately 8 kilometres southeast of Montague Island off the NSW south coast; and approximately 154 kilometres southeast of Canberra, ACT. This earthquake was felt by residents in the nearby coastal towns of Narooma, Tuross Head, Bermagui and surrounding rural areas.

2023 July 5 @ 1:26am AEST, Gembrook VIC Magnitude 1.9
This earthquake was recorded near the town of Gembrook, approximately 15 kilometres northeast of Pakenham; and approximately 56 kilometres east-southeast of Melbourne, VIC. This slightly shallower earthquake at approximately 4 kilometres depth was felt by many residents in Gembrook, Pakenham and surrounding semi-rural areas. A magnitude 0.8 earthquake was recorded in a similar location seven minutes later.

2023 June 30 @ 1:32am AEST, NE of Woods Point VIC Magnitude 4.7
This earthquake occurred approximately 11 kilometres northeast of Woods Point, approximately 126 kilometres east-northeast of Melbourne, VIC. This event was the largest recorded in the region since the magnitude 5.8 earthquake on September 22 2021 and was felt widely across central and eastern Victoria including metropolitan Melbourne, Geelong and to the Vic-NSW border. Over 1600 earthquakes have now been recorded in the area since the September 2021 earthquake.

2023 June 23 @ 1:44am AEST, W of Crookwell NSW Magnitude 3.3
This earthquake was recorded approximately 32 kilometres west of the town of Crookwell; and approximately 93 kilometres north of Canberra, A.C.T. This earthquake was felt by some residents in Crookwell and other surrounding rural areas.

2023 June 18 @ 2:05pm AEST, Douglas Park NSW Magnitude 3.1
This earthquake was recorded near Douglas Park on the outer fringes of metropolitan Sydney; approximately 55 kilometres southwest from the CBD area.  This relatively shallow earthquake was felt by a number of residents on the outer suburban fringes and nearby rural areas. A magnitude 1.4 after shock was recorder in a similar location approximately 16 hours later.

2023 June 8 @ 2:09am AEST, E of Grafton NSW Magnitude 3.0
This earthquake was recorded approximately 10 kilometres east of Grafton in northern New South Wales near the tiny town of Tucabia; and approximately 186 kilometres south of Gold Coast, QLD. This earthquake was felt by some residents in Tucabia, Grafton and surrounding rural areas.

2023 June 7 @ 10:13pm AEST, Offshore E of Cairns QLD Magnitude 4.2
This earthquake was recorded approximately 133 kilometres offshore east of the regional centre of Cairns in northern Queensland. This earthquake was felt by some residents in Cairns and other residents in smaller localities along the coastline.

2023 June 3 @ 12:03pm AEST, Mount Martha VIC Magnitude 2.4
This earthquake was recorded near the town of Mount Martha on the Mornington Peninsula, approximately 52 kilometres south of Melbourne, VIC. This earthquake felt by residents in the local suburbs in and surrounding Mount Martha.

2023 May 30 @ 5:03pm AEST, Ferntree Gully VIC Magnitude 2.1
This earthquake was recorded in a similar location to the magnitude 2.3 earthquake on May 16, approximately 30 kilometres east-southeast of Melbourne, VIC; and was also felt by residents in the local suburbs in and surrounding Ferntree Gully. Ten earthquakes have now been recorded in this vicinity since May 16.

2023 May 28 @ 11:41pm AEST, W of Craigieburn VIC Magnitude 4.0
This earthquake occurred approximately 6 kilometres west of the suburb of Craigieburn, and approximately 27 kilometres north-northwest of Melbourne, VIC. This earthquake was widely felt through metropolitan Melbourne as far as Geelong and the Mornington Peninsula. A magnitude 2.8 aftershock was recorded exactly two minutes after this earthquake which was also felt by residents closer to the epicentre of both events. Over 50 further aftershocks have now been identified in relation to this event, further information regarding this earthquake can be found here.

This earthquake occurred approximately 16 kilometres southeast of West Wyalong; and approximately 216 kilometres northwest of Canberra, ACT. This earthquake was reported felt by a handful of residents in West Wyalong and surrounding rural areas.

This earthquake occurred near suburban Ferntree Gully approximately 30 kilometres east-southeast of Melbourne. This earthquake has been reported felt by many local residents in the nearby suburbs to Ferntree Gully.

2023 April 17 @ 7:04pm AEST, SE of Walkerville VIC Magnitude 2.5
This earthquake occurred just offshore southeast of Walkerville near Cape Liptrap and Wilsons Promontory, approximately 156 kilometres southeast of Melbourne, VIC.  This earthquake was felt by some coastal residents in Walkerville and Sandy Point as well as some Wilsons Promontory campers.

2023 April 11 @ 2:27am AEST, SE of Boort VIC Magnitude 3.5
This earthquake occurred approximately 16 kilometres southeast of the small town of Boort and approximately 203 kilometres northwest of Melbourne, VIC.  This earthquake woke up and was felt by a number of residents in Boort and surrounding areas as far away as Bendigo.

2023 April 2 @ 10:06am AEST, W of Dungog NSW Magnitude 3.2
This earthquake occurred approximately 6 kilometres west of the small town of Dungog and approximately 58 kilometres north of Newcastle, NSW.  This earthquake was felt by a number of residents in the surrounding areas as far away as outer suburban Newcastle.

2023 March 23 @ 9:53am ACDT, S of Yunta SA Magnitude 4.7
This earthquake occurred approximately 28 kilometres south of the small town of Yunta and located near the Pualco Ranges; approximately 248 kilometres north-northeast of Adelaide, SA.  This earthquake was reported felt widely by residents in SA as far away as suburban Adelaide.

2023 January 24 @ 6:45am AEDT, Mount Wills VIC Magnitude 2.5
This earthquake occurred near Mount Wills in the Victorian high country,  approximately 20 kilometres northeast of Falls Creek, and approximately 91 kilometres southeast of Albury-Wodonga. This earthquake was reported felt by some people staying at Falls Creek and residents in the nearby town of Mount Beauty.

2023 January 16 @ 5:37pm AEDT, SE of Frogmore NSW Magnitude 2.4
This earthquake occurred approximately 9 kilometres southwest of the town of Frogmore, and approximately 109 kilometres north of Canberra, ACT. This earthquake was felt by some residents in Frogmore and surrounding rural areas.

This earthquake occurred off the coast of Blanche Harbour in the northern Spencer Gulf, approximately 20 kilometres south of Port Augusta, SA. This earthquake was felt by some residents in the surrounding rural area as well as some residents in Port Augusta.

2023 January 5 @ 5:02pm ACDT, Sheoak Hill SA Magnitude 3.4
This earthquake occurred near Sheoak Hill on the Eyre Peninsula, approximately 235 kilometres northwest of Adelaide, SA. This earthquake was felt by some residents in the nearby rural areas and as far away as the small towns of Cleve, Cowell and Kimba.

2023 January 1 @ 1:52pm AEDT, W of Jingellic VIC Magnitude 2.3
This earthquake occurred approximately 20 kilometres west of the town of Jingellic on the VIC-NSW border, and approximately 54 kilometres west-northwest of Albury-Wodonga. This earthquake was felt by some residents in the rural border localities.
