AGU – Day Two

A busy day on the stand with lots of oohs and ahhs as I spun the dial on Quick Quake to come up with the earthquake solution. Educators very excited about the prospect of using it in class with their students.

I got to spend a bit of time at the NOAA stand as they presented weather, earthquakes, continental drift, sea surface temperatures and much more on their interactive globe. Driven by projectors mounted all around their stand and controlled from a tablet, the staff did a great job of showing how effective visualising data can be.

Most importantly I managed to nab the coveted NASA calendar – there’s Christmas shopping for my astro-nerd brother done!
